Noisy speedo

Hi,

I seem to have a noisy speedo - is this the cable? Can I solve it with some grease?

Some tips and advice much appreciated.

twice in cars my speedo has gone noisy, both times a few days before the cable snapped! you can try greasing it to see if that helps, remove the inner cable from the outer, coat with grease but, if you are removing the cable it would be just as easy to put in a new one. (but grease the new one as they often are not pregreased)

Thanks for the tip. Can these still be bought new? Where's the best place to get one from?
