Every once in a while, maybe once every 2 weeks after daily driving i go to start the nova and the batterys drained or it needs a jump to get going

Although other times it will turn the starter over slowly then if i turn ignition off and try straight away again it turns fine the second time and starts the car as if the battery was fine

Anyone any ideas as i dont think it is the battery, starter solinoid?
Im just after auggestions before i buy a new battery to test it

Sounds a bit like mine when starter was on way out. Is the 'lazy' starting getting more frequent?

If you are just doing short trips, then the battery isn't getting time to build up its charge again..

A new battery might help, but it'll be worth you checking for any voltage drain. Remove the +ve battery lead, and put a volt meter between it & the +ve terminal & see if there is any reading. If there is, then one by one, remove & replace the fuses till you find the circuit that is leaking current. Then you'll know what is causing it
