Hi guys, i have a 1200 nova expression and just recently the amber engine light has started coming on when sat in traffic. Any ideas where i should be looking for the cause of this?

Thanks

you need to flash the codes off matey, have a read here if you feel competent to do it yourself if not most back street garages should be able to do it. =

It might be me being stupid but how do you do this on a carb'ed engine. I didn't think this could be done without an ecu?

Thanks again

If its a mk2 spi then it has an ecu for the single point injection

The orange light is what's called the "EML" for short, otherwise known and the engine management light, management is basically the ECU.

Thanks againI'd be checking if you have a carb or injection model nova. The orange warning light is only for injection (spi = single point injection) don't be fooled into thinking you have a carb model just by looking at it, the injector is under the large dustbin filter.
