What time is this peice of crap getting announced?? I want to know how much more we are going to get raped at the fuel pumps.
i'd be surprised if they try to stick anything on us at the pumps, as it is a £60b con trick on fuel duty anyway...
Its been announced.
VED up with inflation and no change to the current proposed fuel duty stuff. Not as terrible as it could have been.

So the long and short of it is the price is going up by at least 3p??
So less than a quid a tank for a nova..... ohhhhhhh
this is the con trick working again.... tax should not rise with inflation... it should simply be levied on the wholesale price. if the wholesale goes up, then so does the tax revenue.
what is the wholesale price/cost of VED...... ah there isn't 'really'.
F lol at 37 p extra tax on a packet of 20 fags
Rolling tobacco from the eu ftmfw lol
Could of been alot worse imo, oh and milliband has just rubber stamped that he is a blabbering tool
Mr speaker can... Mr speaker can i... Mr speaker can... Mr speaker can i just say.... Mr speaker... Mr speaker can i...

Stop smoking and give them the finger
Sh1t.
Pile of sh1t.
Fags up,beer up,fuel and VED up is there owt in this life left to enjoy?
I tell you what, the only way you succeed and do well in this sh1thole is if your on dole selling drugs.
Fuel isn't 'up' per say.... its un changed in its proposed increases. Which insight of most things is GOOD compared to it going up even more!
Beer isn't up :p
read the sodding budget before having a rant lol
Technically, beer/VED isn't up, its stagnant. Its just generally wages are down lol [edit] and don't forget you'll be getting another £120 off your annual tax bill come april, then another £200-odd next year.
Talk of regionalizing civil service wages is amusing. So when industry recovers from its current low, CS wages will go up by a few thousand as well will they? LOLz

I have, it says its going up 5p?? and fuel 3p
Both were previously set though, so no further increases have been announced. So the 5p rise on a pint and 3p on fuel (4p due to VAT) isn't due to this budget.
As long as they don't tax whippets & pies, you lot up north will be ok...
I was hoping they would have a tax on facebook membership

No but its the fact it is due.Thats all thats relevant enough lol
Mike,i hate sh1t machines and pies are crap aswell.
Andy, you'd whinge if they gave you £1K a month tax free, because they didn't ask you and it was any govt doing it lol
petrol down by 6p WOW! such a difference! dicks...only going to go back up in august! not to mention the rich having cuts too! i dought they will even affect them appart from make sure more money is in their pockets, as for business rates...being i work on the business rates for many contracts for london areas, and northsomerset...
ITS A JOKE! big businesses are better off, little ones suffer...yet again! yeah there is small business relief but there are so many rules! they say thy have made it easier to understand PAH! joke! :@
Chancellor George Osborne has said a 3.02 pence per litre fuel duty increase will take effect on 1 August as planned.
makes me happy i have a 1.2 still :O
Will be cheaper and more worth while for people who have to drive to work to go on the dole! and other benefits! :/

Have a go on this... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-17442946
Quite interesting and if your truthful you'll get an idea how better off you'll be. lol
I filled it in last night and me and the dragon will be £236 a year better off which was going to be nearly £400 but after petrol, road tax, beer etc it kind of plummeted.
Have a go before you complain you may be surprised. We were.
i dont smoke or drink...so not really any better off loL! just being ass raped for fuel costs haha :P

If you don't drink or smoke then you'll be better off..
yeah i just die of stress instead haha! :P or freeze to death over winter because i cant afford the gas bill hehe :P
Nice link Old man jimbo +rep
IF the 'rich' (My gauge of rich is people that DONT have to work and can drop a Million pound cheque without having to wait to move money about, whereas the news definition of rich is anyone in the 40% or above tax bracket lol) have more money in their pockets they WILL buy more shiny things which means us mere mortals doing the donkey work keeping the UK afloat get to keep our jobs/generates new ones.
petrol down by 6p
Whut?
According to the calculator I'm £118 a year better off, but thats only because I don't drink at the mo and my weekly mileage is low. Once I have to drive 30k a year that drops to about £80 lol
£118 a week!!!! thats impressive :p
As a family we are just shy of £300 a year better off lol
So its not all doom and gloom as everyones making out/crying about ?
£144 better off in 2012/13
i save this :/ im a girl for saving but thats pathetic lol
So its not all doom and gloom as everyones making out/crying about ?
because come august it means jack ****e to any of us who drive... as the fuel goes sky high...old grannys have even had their pentions affected.
small businesses are going bust every day, and going in to administration, thus the gov loose millions £££ any way! and i get it in the ear hole all day long, and feel like a douche because i have nothing to offer them to keep their heads above water. its a shame! :( gov are silly and live on cloud 9 as usual!
The calculator takes into account the increase in fuel costs though.....
The govt need the cash, they will take it the most pain free and appealing way they can, it sucks but thats the way it works and NO party will make it nice for everyone.
+4p a litre isn't really going to break the bank though, £1.60 on a Nova tank. Thats not sky high either, wait til it pushes £2 a litre which at current rates will be due around 2015-16 lol oil and pump price has been 'relatively' stable over the past 12 months, but its rising again.
Only thing to halt the price of oil will be another economic crash which world +dog is trying to avoid, or a suitable renewable/cheap direct replacement for fuel oil which won't happen.
£118 a week!!!! thats impressive :p
Cock, I meant year. Would be nice to be £118 a week better off!
[edit] LMFAO why the funk did it say connor in the quote lol
£118 a week!!!! thats impressive
Cant remember saying that lol ;)
And yea +4p isnt brilliant, but it could be considerably worse! And it keeps rising anyways so its not a massive shock that its still rising
yay £117 better off apparently. But then I think I was a bit conservative on my alcohol consumption...
Its annoying but I can afford a few extra quid to fill up the car. So I dont think its too bad for the likes of me.

imo the budget wasn't that bad... it could have been a lot worse. Fuel is always going to go up even if fuel goes down in price. It's one sure way to make some much needed money. The fact that they are going to tax you on earnings over 10k (2013) will be useful for a lot of people. I don't smoke and hardly drink so any taxes on them I couldn't care less and it'll be a good motivation for those to give it up.
They are just making it hard for people to avoid tax like those who buy houses under businesses to avoid stamp duty. Taxing the wealthy means they'll get a bit more cash and they [rich] will hardly feel it. Although buying a house £2m+ you have to now pay 7% stamp but I guess if you got that kinda money you won't give a sh*t.
The fact that they have to do all this stuff to make back the money Labour spunked all over the place annoys me more!
Time to get rich me thinks.

£434 a year WORSE off. Not best pleased!
Technically the reason for it was not part of the budget but something that was changed a month or so ago. They cut the upper earnings limit for parents claiming child tax credit to £26,000 a year, so that cost me £545 a year.
So as a single parent, working full time and not claiming any benefits (except child benefit) I end up being worse off! Would be easier to sell the house, go on the doll and live off the state/council............however some people are fortunately not wired that way, me most definitely being one of them!

Mint...i'll be £215 worse off!!!
Unless i have input the numbers wrong!
How does anyone end up better off out of this? Every single one of my entries was negative lol

If your on a basic rate tax income, don't smoke or drink and don't do many miles then you will be better off!
I did fiddle it a bit and find someone that doesn't drink and earns more than 10k a year or so is a couple hundred quid better off. If you drink around 300-400 units of alchohol, smoke 99 packs a week and spend 30k a year on fuel you're fcuked though.
Pasty Tax....needless to say im ****ing fuming. a £3 pasty will now cost £3.60

That link was pretty cool.
£124 a year worse off. Shame seeing as that doesn't take into account for a few things. Like smoking tobacco. Not packets of ciggies.

I too am one of those people that won't do that for the sake of it. Much better off doing your thing and not claiming off the state mate, that's for lazy ass bums. It's also a lot less hassle.

yea...because i want a cold pasty for lunch :/
So nothing really changes. Petrol to be 1.50 a litre by the summer i reckon. Could have been a lot worse.
buy a cold pasty, take it home, put it in the oven....warm! :P but tax avoidence they will just tax it any way! lmao

TBH mate I would be worse off going on the dole because I am fortunate to have a very good salary and package.
It does annoy me so much though that if you have children you can be better off on the dole and claiming all benefits than if you worked and got paid an averager salary. I think if you have no children you are still 'better off' working than claiming benefits. They have got it all wrong, no incentive for hardworking tax payers.
We do need to clear the countrys debt, expecially for future generations but non workers should not be better off than workers! That is just madness whatever way you look at it!

And because of this it only gets worse. Those oxygen thieves who are firing babies out on the state every five minutes are multiplying like fecking rabbits, whereas those with more than one braincell tend to leave it later to spawn a couple of children when they can actually afford it themselves. Those with the most intelligence tend to even not bother and stick to career.
Therefore the idiots are not slowly taking over, they are taking over properly rapid. The Gene pool is getting too diluted with mouth breathing morons. Be afraid.

You should have to apply for the right to have kids if your a Jeremy kyle special
Thats the other totally backwards thing as well. People who cant have kids have to jump through about a million hoops to adopt one child and probably get rejected if one of the couples pasts is revealed to have contained one instance of shoplifting at age 12, whereas Wayne and Waynetta can legally fire five or six out and so long as their nutritional level stays slightly above that of an Ethiopian, and they're not seen in the street with the bruises, there is no problem.
