if its overcharging then its bad, id test the voltage with the engine running firstly

What alternator do I need then for a c20let with the single v pulley?

tbh from those codes that i can see 12 & 31 its fine, 12 is start of test and 31 is crank sensor (because its not running)

Slap a multimeter on the battery when its running and see what it reads, should be about 14-14.5v iirc, mine reads 14.1v

As for the alt. I'd have thought any single pulley XE one would be fine..

Ok I'll get a multi meter on it when it's running, the only codes I'm getting is 12 + 31 when it's not running and 12 + 49 when it is running,

Just rather smokey on idle :( guessing turbo has gone Or valve stem seals although everything is new :(
