As above, whats the MOT rules regarding sunstrips and wipers?

I want to fit a 150mm deep sunstrip on the rally car but this will be covering the arc of the wipers, will this be a problem?

Yep that will fail rich, anything in the swept area will fail iirc

As far as I know, if the wipers go over the sunstrip it is fail.

Fit sun strip after mot

then pull it off next mot???

just fit the correct height rich

or fit smaller wiper blades

Any smaller and it will not be effective.

What about fitting it on the inside?

Yeah why not? They're not massively expensive or that hard to fit. Will still fail on the inside

They're like £2 posted off eBay. I'd rather have a properly swept screen and large sunstrip that needs replacing after the MOT than a tiny wiper blade or useless sunstrip.

The sun strip can be as deep as you like & the wiper arm[s] / blades as tiny as you want; so long as the two never touch.

Another forbidden love the retarded law won't allow. Doesn't matter if the driver can't see fcuk all come rain or shine THE QUEEN APPROVES.

I'm mean you'd have to be half blind literally as well as spiritually to marry an unloving meathead.

Simple solution as suggested, shorter wiper arms for mot or (nod nod, wink wink) 'Road Use' and smaller blades, run for mot, pass, then put your normal or 'Rally Use' wipers/arms back on :thumb:

I had a window tint strip on the inside of my track car,

Couldn't tell you the exact size of it, i just made sure it was not much lower then a standard GSi top tint etc, and as it's on the inside and semi translucent it never got me any bother of the MOT man, and it worked a treat with no sun visors/cage etc.. And if you have the one's on the outside it WILL ware a chunk out of the wiper blade so it wont wipe that part the screen..

I removed the one fitted to the Sport, as my friend who MOT's the car said it was an automatic fail, due to the sweep of the wipers, and I didn't like it personally;)
