Headlining

Well as I have no headlining I've been thinkin of making my own as people are unwilling to take them out incase of rips etc or want me to do it and live miles and miles away.

So just after any pictures of homemade/pro headlining.

Aye...I made mine. Well, my mum did!

I bought a non sunroof lining thinking it would fit. Mine has a sunroof. It didn't.

I sat and unpicked every stitch. The 2 bits I then used as templates to cut new material from. I could also mark where the stitches needed to be, darts etc.

It was by no means easy.

I then started at the boot area and worked towards the windscreen. I then did each side. Lastly I cut the hole for the sunroof.

Just had a little read Pete, looks a pig of a job to do...
Mines a non-sunroof, but I have no bars etc.
Don't suppose you ever wrote down dimensions?

It wasnt the easiest of jobs!!

Afraid not. As i said, i used the old one as a template. Feel abit bad ruining what was a perfectly good lining, but needs must and all that.

Shameless plug...but lol i still have the original roof padding and the bars if you want them??

I bought my material for a fiver!

Was from a small sewing shop.

I did browse ebay.

I don't really have any shops like that round here, my best bet is Dunelm. Might be worth a shot.

Ask around. Lets be honest there probably is a shop round your way but its not your usual request!

Yeah, i took my old one and they made a copy, so the bars run thru it, i know it looks low in the center but it's just the pic...

Pillar trims are covered in it too.
