it fell out the pump so it wasnt stuck or anything, its scored on one side it not the other

Should be alright that.But for what they are new just replace that and the spring.
For my 205gti i paid £3.60 for the pair genuine items from peugeot,so cant see them much more if at all.

I smoothed mine off through a few grades of emry paper and polished it up to get rid of any vaguely sharp edges.

I think that's what I'm gonna do, there's nylon ones on eBay for £20 I'm sure it beardy from mig that sells them

Mine in my XE got 'stuck'

Thats when your going to have trouble. Luckily my dash red zero oil pressure so no harm done & switched engine straight of.

If its loose & free, but it back with the spring & happy days :)
