Thunder tiger rc nitro car

Hi all just thought I would put a project thread up of this nitro car I have just acquired for free from a friend. It's a Thunder Tiger TS-n Sport sc series, I haven't been able to find much out about it so far apart from its the model before the TS-N4 model - which their is loads of info about but not mine? It was purchased from modelzone in Otley a good few years ago lol. I think I have every thing with it minus original engine but It does have a PRO 21r with a 3 speed gearbox! apparently its about 1 hp??? will need a new exhaust manifold as the original wont fit the engine supplied.

I'm going to build her up get her going then rebuild her with some new parts and upgrade the suspension for aluminium components.
I've never had a nitro rc car before so any advice or help along the way would be greatly appreciated

had loads of nitro cars used to work in a model shop everything is easy to do on them i would have an uprated servo for the steering and definiteley get a fail safe for it (if it goes out of range or batteries go down the throttle will shut off)

hi mate, you might just be the man I am looking for. I got a complete car off my mate, in the box quite new. got it home like a little kid, had a tinker with the engine, I think I have that sorted, but the radio side has stopped working. when I first got the car, all was fine but now, when I switch the car on, the carb servo twitches and that's all. I am lost now. :confused:
new batteries in the transmitter, batteries in car fully charged( I think)
any advice would be great, my 7 year old lad is on my case.
