My little 1200 merit is my daily. And work horse. And taxi.

Still turns heads occasionally as it is the only regular nova that runs around the town.

Will be going TD sometime in the next 6 months as I've just acquired a 1500 TD nova that is only worth breaking. Loads of bits though :d

Pug 306 and I like it, 120,000+ miles and it still drives fine, couple of minor problems like the exhaust seems to have dropped in the middle and there is a weird rattling noise but it still pulls well.

A quick browse of ebay leads to a door & wing in the same colour. Also got a wheel arch liner and washer pump (both cracked on impact). £60 for the lot. Result!

previous owner lowered it a lot, speed bumps scrape the underneath, played about with the turbo and fuel pump, so its not as economical as id hoped but its still going strong and it hasnt broken down yet :)

Snap I have exactly the same but blue as a company car, did have a focus but wrote it off (6 weeks old) so work were reluctant to give me another hence I was landed with the fessie - not a bad car but my previous 130k golf gt tdi felt tighter than either of the brand new fords!

They're pretty much perfect imo, a 330d would probably be better as a daily though lol

It's fully spec'd apart from sat nav, thinking of getting a factory looking one to go in there (the Eanon ones look nice), it came with the elec folding mirrors but i bought the m3 elec folding ones afterwards, the standard mirrors look too big imo. It isnt getting modified apart from that, it's hard not to be tempted with some new wheels, etc but hopefully i keep it as it is.

Lava dome (first one) is the main daily with fat road tyres and mud guards for if it rains, but ive got a slow leak on the self sealing tube in the back wheel as it had a massive puncture a while back, so ive been taking the caldera last couple of days, its soooo much more fun to ride, jumping over speedbumps and kerbs, wheelieing everywhere, its ace :d

I drive my glacier white 1L nova life around, its just turned 30k miles and is almost immaculate, im only 18 so insurance is quite a lot, thinking of getting a run around, maybe a corsa B or something cheap like that to keep me from beating on the nova too much, any thoughts anyone?

Novas are surprisingly cheap on insurance nowadays, it's probably about the best you can get. Guy that worked at my local factors found it was cheaper than Corsa's, clio's etc etc

oh its not the insurance cost i am trying to improve on, its got to just be paid either way, i just dont want to put too many miles on it, and put too much wear and tear on it :(
