hi just thought id put this up as i have been messing about fro weeks now to find this was the prob i fitted the mk3 astra mpi fuel pump in my spi tank to run my gsi engine and when i did the car would not drive on load this was because they is a small black pipe that joins the pump to the out let that you need to cut down about 1cm to lift the pump off the bottom of the tank as the mpi pump is longer then the spi hope this helps some one as it is a very easy mistake to make as the mpi pump will still bolt in the tank but the car will not drive but will start fine:thumb:
