bloke at work knows a bloke at our main customer for work, the company which make a huge variety of aircaft components and filters for just about anything you can think of, and asked him to weld up the injector holes on my chopped XE inlet when he had a spare 5 mins...4weeks later (as he was working nights and the guy at work never saw him) this is what i got back...

remember...the injector holes were MARKED with a paint pen.

That reminds me of my farmer friend who asked his (back from college having done his degree) son to 'fill up the combine harvester engine with oil'...... When he came to start it, he discovered the son had managed to get 12 gallons into it & had kept going till it was right up to the filler cap...........

You can never give someone too much information.......

Ps... Loctiting in some ally bar is a way better fix....
