Nova 1.2 spi coil on c20ne?

Can a coil from a 1.2 spi nova be used on a c20ne to get it running while i wait for a proper coil?

the spi coil is the stubby one with the meltal frame round it, the ne one is the bosch round canister type (looks like a pop can sort of shape..) if you get a spark, then its fine.. it should work
