mk2 hazard switch/indicators....help LOL

Modified my hazard switch today (as per the article on here) on replacing it when i indicate left/right the hazards flash!

Any ideas. I thought it might be a simple thing like a fuse but they are ok. Earth??

disconnect the wire from the back of the indicator stalk, test of continuity between the black-white trace and the black-green trace, of you get a reading then you've shorted something inside the hazard switch

Sorted it. lol in my wisdom when wiring up my VX220 dash, i bridged a wire that i thought needed to be bridged and checked all this with a faulty hazard switch [facepalm]

It all works now.
