new doors or new skins?

Turns out my other half isnt utterly usless with cars... lol :roll:

he has managed to source through audi brand spanking new doors, or skins for the nova....and any other part for the body work may i add! :thumb: :d

the Brand spanking doors are around £130ea i will have to ask about this as he must have told me that over the phone lol!

How ever the frame of the door is fine and a skin would resolve my problem (£33.50 plus vat)...how ever there is a tad of rust on the bottom..do i

a) door skins and just treat the bits of rust that is there...

b) fork out and just get new doors, and have no rust to care about lol

That seems cheap for a new door, I would pay the extra and have piece of mind, I was after doors and was looking at 70 just for second hand ones that where rusty

well ill find out the actual price, unless it is writen down i tend to forget! its around £130-£160 But obviously will have vat added. I am seriously considering the more expensive solution but will put back the rebuild a month perhaps? not sure i have a limit of £400/£500 to throw at the car each month! but this is to include for the respray. So hence why it will put me back a bit (and im sick of riding a push bike o_0) lol

Suppose you could remove your current skin and assess the condition of what's left? If its solid then skins for cheapness.

Buy the doors. I'm 100% you'd get the skin off and the rest of the frame will have rust on it, so wont be worth a carrot.

You wouldnt happen to know your bodyshops supplier for the door skins? im close to pulling my hair out trying to find any, everywhere lists them but no one seems to stock them.
