Wired in the 6 dials today.
All the relevant lights work. The rev counter doesnt as I haven't wired it in yet. However the problem I do have is that the temperature gauge and the fuel gauge shoot right up, like off the scale.
Any ideas on how to fix this??
Check the membrane on the back for any breaks in the tracks, my original clocks for the antibes do this as the membrane is shot on the back, i was only trying them as the membrane on my 6-dials is even worse and kept the engine powered up after turning the ignition off
Got a new membrane on now and all is good lol
if you need another set of clocks as spare parts
i have a set of clocks out of a sri with a faulty
fuel gauge and a crack in the front cover
but all the other bits are good

Cheers spudly. I'll have a browse in the morning. What if it appears to be alright though??
And stu I'll give you postage rounded up to the nearest pound if you want to do things that way?

Right have been browsing a well known search engine, and have come across some possible information that may help. Apparently GSi clocks are known to have a resistor fault when swapping them over to what was a 5 dial set up. So if this is the case, how the bloody hell am I going to sort this out?
Also Spudly the membrane looks to be pretty sweet so nothing obvious there.
Any other ideas??
Edit: forgot to mention that I have put my old clocks back in to check the fuel gauge and it works perfectly well. So it would seem that my sender is alright as is the wiring in the car. It's just these bloody gauges.

its got to be
This is really odd, cos the circuits for the temp & oil are usually the same on the different dash dials..
THERE MUST BE A DEAD SHORT ON YOUR 6 DIAL
