View Full Version : rev counter 'green wire'??
hi all,
before asking the question 'how to wire a rev counter' i took a look in the old threads and saw 'green wire of coil' mentioned often. is the coil the thing that feeds the dizzy? do i attach the wire to this coil?
Cheers JP360
forgot to mention the E16SE is in a corsa b if that helps

im still struggling to get mine to work, its like a minefield i swear. apparently you have to run a wire from the top right spade on the coil, to the green wire in the back of the clock. now sure on a corsa but they must be similar
ive seen this which helps me with the location on the dials but i dont know where to pick up from

Pick up from the coil. Should be a spare spade coming off it, will be that one. :thumb:
And there might not be a green wire on the dials, if not you'll have to fit one as per the guide in articles.
Edit, cant spot the guide in articles
And says run it from the ecu on a corsa ( going by the link you posted)
the coil being the thing that has a wire going to the dizzy? :tard:
the coil is the thing connected to the dizzy.
the e16se loom has a green rev counter wire going to the (original) block connector. this is where you should be connecting to.
i know im asking alot but could you describe where this would be or put a picture up with it highlighted? :d
in laymans terms, the wires that come from the engine & go towards the back left hand side of the engine bay & connect to the wires that come from inside the car... where they are joined, there will be a green one, connect this wire to the rev counter terminal.
