Has it been set up, correctlty choked, jetted to suit the engine set up
on a rolling road? Or just pit together?
Just put together lol what you think is up with them
They need setting up by someone who knows carbs

were the carbs set up for a 1.6?, is the engine standard? Timing correct?.
You can't slap a set of forties onto and engine and expect them to work;)
I know yes it's a standard 16 gsi and the timing is perfect was just a rough idea what to do

They need setting up and jetting
Does anyone know who's good at them in Glasgow area
Peter Baldwin, Wilshers Garage, Orwell Nr(ish) Cambridge/Royston.
Yup, that's near Glasgow right enough lol
Car Tuning Clinic in Edinburgh used to be pretty $hit hot, not sure if they're still there or not though.
Likes of Retro Rides might be a good place to ask. Bound to be someone good out West
Cool thanks alot I'll google them see if there still there mate cheers ye a Scotland boy then

As said get it setup correctly or you may just knacker your engine which will cost even more.
On a side not you could have a read of this for the time being: README (http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/v/vspfiles/images/Weber%20Trouble%20Shooting%20Guide.pdf)
Originally, been over the wall for a fair few years now though
Yup, that's near Glasgow right enough lol
If I was in China I'd still send my car to him lol
