Nice one mate! I'm going the blingin' chrome way too.

The new CAM wheels (made by Wolfrace) are only ?120 each and are chrome. There's 3 types to choose from.

Personally i'm considering some 18" Vault wheels, though i haven't got any pics at the moment. And i'm not sure if i wanna go bigger than 17's either.

Anyway, check these beasties out:

I hope for your sake then that the chrome rim stylee won't be another 3 spoke, TSW blade, TSW Venom etc etc etc etc here today gone tomorrow......

Time will tell........

opps i didnt mean 13 weeks, i meant 3!
these alloys arent just ya standard silver chrome alloys, put it this way, i need ?300 of arch work to fit em on, thats how much i wanted these ones and wanted to do summit different with mine.

Chrome rims look good on Merc's, BMW's and some lexus's but am still not convinced they are going to suit a nova.

Hi,

the nova isnt an extremely "blingable" car... Im not entirely convinced they will suit either...

However, will still look forward to seeing these pics

yeah well i wanted em and they should look ok, u mean ppl can twoc it by 'blingable'?

?Marty?
23-07-03, 12:53 AM
Nah, whether a car suits chrome alloys and is 'blingable' depends on the paintjob & styling of the car and the style of alloy, rather than make and model of the car itself.

Chrome alloys look better the bigger they are, which is why they look best on those cars, as it's easier to fit bigger alloys on them.

But anything from 17's upwards is enough to get the right look.

Not sure if mine would the way it is now, but hey.

Think i know which one's you mean mate.

VERY nice wheels.

Also, 'blingable' is used to describe things that are shiny/expensive/flash and etc.

'Blingin' is a person with such items on themselves, or the items themselves.

Originates from jewellery (like diamonds) reflecting light/sparkling. It's a description of it, but like a sound i.e. bling bling.

It's a hip hop term, but seems to be crossing over to the mainstream.

shhhhh marty, im hoping not many ppl have seen em so i'll be the first on here to have em on me nova, the offset is 40 and thats the only offset they come in, that's why i need so much arch work, getting that done next week, picking up my wheels this friday :D
So from now all i gotta get is 2 doors, tailgate, novadose sideskirts, GSI front bumper, and a rear one, not sure yet, then it goes in the body shop for a Metalic gold/bronze paint job.

Shiney is good... Look at Mark Beesons and Stu Gsis wheels... there really nice! Not chrome but highly polished, just as good.

I don't think pimp daddy 20" stylee chromes will suit a nova though but n'mind, if you like them go for it. Everyone is doing chrome at the moment though so don't expect to be unique for long.

Neil you do realise that when you have done this - and in 12 months time when the loan is paid off you are going to HAVE TO do some serious work on the engine to make it perform to match the looks.

?Marty?
23-07-03, 03:02 PM
Stop trying to piss on his chips!

Chrome wheels that are VERY big won't suit a nova,, as they'd just overpower the whole look of the car.

That M3 Evo is fly!

Thats assuming uit will go that far through the letterbox :!:

A standard front door is nearly 3" thick :!:

wisewood
23-07-03, 03:26 PM
mines a UPVC door - not that thick but re-enforced with steel in the middle lol.

although it has letterbox flap on outside and inside, and tehm bristle things... quite a little hazard really

Good luck Neil,

My project starts in 8 days when i get back from faliraki, got to find the right car though first

also, perhaps you should consider buying yourself some accessories to ensure you are not shadowed by your cars status.......
