Im regrettably putting up for sale my Mk1 Astra GTE.

Iv had the car for around 4-5 years and it is just about how I wanted it, but needs must and it will have to go.

Despite this - I wont be giving it away - iv put so much time and effort into it for me to just throw it all away.

The car doesnt have any tax and mot. All it requires for an mot is one very small patch on the front crossmember, a horn wiring up and the idling sorting on th XE lump. There is no other hidden holes as its all been done bar the small patch required on the crossmember.

Ill give a small rundown of spec:

Genuine GTE shell - It all just been stitch welded under the bonnet and all the welding has been done around the bottom of the bulkhead.It had an outside respray in flame red - the door shuts and the boot shut havent been done - just the outside. All the kit is nearly bonded on - just a couple more blobs of bond and its all finished.

Lowered 100mm on the rear with custom springs and aftermarket dampers. Lowered 60mm on the front with spax dampers and spax springs.

17" momo arrow alloy wheels - the rears have 195/40/17 tyres to pull the tyres under the arches. They are practically new toyo proxies. The fronts have 205/40/17 fitted and still have good remaining tread.

Engine wise it has a 2.0 16v XE fitted which has just had a new sump gasket and a full service. The engine is clean with no oil leaks. The gearbox is the standard f16. It has a full magnex exhaust fitted along with an aftermarket air filter. There is a full roose silicon hose kit for the coolant.

At the moment the car is idling around 2500 rpm. Im presuming it is the idle control valave that needs sorting. I may get round to doing this.

The car also has front and rear strut braces, Nova mirrors and a rear half rollcage. It also has smoked back lights and the rare base model headlghts along with clear front indicators. There is also an Irmscher spoiler fitted to he tailgate.

The trim is in very good condition and just needs a clean more than anything. It has a Mk2 Astra GTE 16v steering wheel fitted. The parcel shelf is uncut.

Thats all I can think of at the moment, there is a bit of old history with the car and a full v5 in my name.

I really, really dont want to do this and I will really regret it when it goes.

Please understand where im coming from with the price - I want £1800 ono. I know this may sound steep but for a car still on the original shell adn one thats has all the required work done, i think its worth that.
