View Full Version : Blasted Nova
Had the nova fine glass blasted this afternoon, to say i was suprised with the results was an understatement. I had a horrible image of me being left with a cheese grater but to my suprise after stepping into the blast shed i was met with a nice an clean 21year old underside of a nova. :)

who did this for you?
There's a hole on the pass side wheel arch as you can see but thats really it... Couple of slight imperfections.

Looks really good buddy !
I work for an engineering and fabricating company up here in shetland called LEF, we've got a blast shop and one of the boys was kind enough to do it for me this afternoon.
what spec is the Nova? Sport etc or ?
It is a completely standard K plate black Gsi, i bought it from arbroath last august and its sat in the back of my workshop ever since. Finally dusted it off an decided to pull it to bits. 25,000 people on Shetland and im the only one that owns a nova so i kinda feel that i have to make a right job of it. :)
This was taken last week.

Looking good bud keep up the good work whots the next step
The only thing that let it down was the doors, they've some how acted like marine anodes and all the rott seems to have been drawn to them.
Now I've figured how to get up photos I'll get a build thread started.

I think the next step now is to fix all the imperfections, I've gotten a plate kit from phill at autoworks so that'll be stuck in then the underneath will be coated back up then time to start on the top.

Looks mega, especially solid for being from north scotland!
It was meant to be silk violet but the guy I got my paint from made a boo boo and i got 2ltrs of 1 shade and 4ltrs of another shade so I just mixed them together, luckily I've got 2litrs left incase of stonechips/bumps.
