I have a 1992, 1.2 nova.

Pretty much standard,

I have been having alot of issues with water recently.

My foot wells seem to get soaked i have had to cut my sound proofing out as its completely ****ED,

But also water is running from the engine bay down the oil sump and onto the floor. I have a feeling its either water pump, or a cracked pipe.

BUT Everyone says "heater matrix"

I DO get heat when it wants to, + both inlet and outlet pipes for matrix get warm so i believe the matrix is fine.

ANY SUGGESTIONS? I have it booked in for a garage on thursday but would much rather find out what it could eb and fix myself :thumb:

Regards,
James.

Water in the footwell could be rain water in the battery tray getting into the cabin, duff door seal or leaky matrix.

Try remove the timing belt cover to look at the pump, any leaks should be visible or get a decent torch and inspect the rubber hoses. Good old investigation needed for this one.

have you had your finger in the vents at the bottom of the heater matrix to see if there is any water there does the blower motor have the seal on it?
