have been offered a 1400 bottom end for use in my 1200,
will the bottom end fit up with my 1200 flywheel and clutch, f10 box and 1200 head with carb and inlet?

If the 1400 bottom end is from a carb engine or SPi it will fit, but not if its an SRi bottom end

The F13 will fit either :thumb:

its from a 1400 sr, g reg i think, my 1200 bottom end is abit whiniy and squeeky and been offered the 1400, not bothered if there is a performance chance or not just wanted the noises to end,
but saying that it is just the bottom end so thats why all my parts must fit, thats why im asking on here first, unless there is a local 1200st bottom end
anybody has for sale

The 1400 will work really well with the 1200 carb & inlet. The 1200 cam is a bit small & the 1300 or 1400 one will be better.

As rich said, the f10 stuff should fit fine as long as it isn't a 1400 mpi engine

will my 1200 head be ok? i would literally just change the bottom end due to the wizzing noise, my car was stood up for 8 years and has always had the noise since i bought it, i have done 1600 miles and all is fine, is all still good now but noisey as said

It will fit & work fine.. You might want to get rid of the original 4-1 manifold & get a 4-2-1 from a 1300 or 1400.

The main thing will be the extra 30 odd hp

30 odd extra brake just from the bottom end change? Not bothered about performance as said before aslong as it all works ok
