f10 gearbox casing

hi does any one no, does the f10 casing bolt up to a 1.6 block i thought only the f13 casing fitted :wtf:

The bellhousing is definitely smaller on the f10. The flywheel is larger & the starter is mounted further out.
An f13 will bolt up where an f10 was, but an f10 will definitely not fit where an f13 did

thats what i thought the flywheel wont fit into the housing ,cheers chap

The f10 will fit, but you have to fit the smaller flywheel to match.

then how do you expect the starter motor to start the engine when it won't engage the smaller flywheel because the bracket is further out....?

The starter motors are the same. The 1.6 block (&1.4mpi) actually have a different size casting on the block so the starter motor physically fits further out from the crank centre line so it will only engage on a f13 flywheel.
