as above, these are for my combo van, are they easy to replace, or is it easier to replace the whole rack, anyone had to do this before??

having been playing with the ends on my new rack, and the massive spanner needed to get the inner ends off, there are 2 flats & i used a 600mm adjustable, i'd say its a rack out job

If it's the same as a Nova, definitely easier with the rack off. As Mowgli says it's a huge spanner and the edges are hammered over flats to stop it from undoing itself.

you can do them with the rack in, bit awkward but not too difficult. replaced loads of these, seems to be a rather common problem on the combo's. i usually use a big monkey wrench, seems to be the easiest thing to get in with...

I changed the rack ends on my nova a couple of weeks back, the driver side was easy but the passenger side was a bit of a chew on

rack ends are a piece of p*ss, full lock so it's fully extended towards you, then either a bg paid ir mole grips locked on at an angle and a quick tug. they arenlt actually that tight.

these are great tools, and if you do a lot are well worth the money
