Well since Brett made his rep and then of course Alex had it etc I've been thinking about getting as much Opel things as possible, such as badges, vinyls etc.

What's peoples opinions on the GT reps? I know it's mine to do as I wish blady blah.

Mines a 1984 and I know the GT's wernt until 85?

When I finish rebuilding my rally car into the Opel shell it's going to be a Opel Corsa A SR.
I lived in Germany 16 years and never saw one GT so yer go ahead rep one.
Love to see it when it's finished.

They were available in Ireland I think, so might be worth looking there for parts. I've seen badges and vinyls floating round ebay.co.uk and even on here so there's parts to be had.

the wheels on bretts/alex's car have a long enough story...

i bought them in a scrapyard near abingdon in about 1992, they were on a german reg'd (mk1 astra shaped) opel kadett that had been written off a couple of years before.

i then put them on my own kadett for a while, then my beige A reg 1.2 (1.4,1.6) and there they stayed for about 15 years...

then i ended up selling them to baxter with 4 cracked d shaped tyres, who then sold them to spud(i think) still with the dodgy tyres and eventually brett who got them banded...

they are still the only 6j 14 opel badged wheels i've ever encountered, & i really regret selling them

I did my TD as a GT rep, main reason being that I could get a genuine rear vinyl for the bootlid from ebay.de.
Not a lot of difference between it and an SR though........

The boot vinyl is on eBay.de and also found an opel horn push on there.

But will defiantly check Ireland's eBay often, didn't know they were over there.

Edit: any pics Amggsi?

Is yours the white one mate? Stunning looking car if so! I would never have known it was a TD from the pics you have posted. :d

Won't be many parts on the Irish e-bay, SR/GT's weren't very popular in the Republic of Ireland so not many parts kicking about.
