Would this work on a Nova? I've just seen someone do it on a Corsa B and was thinking it'd be better than the usual astra gsi rear disc conversion.
I think the bolt pattern for the hubs for all 3 cars are the same?
Would it have the same problems as the astra gsi/gte rear hubs with locking up?

The discs are smaller at 240mm compared to the 260mm of the gte/gsi ones
Also the the calipers are single piston 34mm as apposed to the twin 35mm pistons

Thoughts and opinions please

Astra rear disc's dont lock up if done right so some ones telling you BS somewhere down the line.

Mike everyone I've ever talked to about them says to stick to the original drums, How would you go about doing it "right"?

I don't really know if the problems I've heard about with Novas apply to Corsa Bs

Corsa beams dont fit Novas.
I don't know if this is directed at me but isn't the track 20mm wider or something? Anyway I was just talking about the hubs

Has anyone ever used Corsa C rear discs or tried to use them?

right i was disscusing this the other day and was told that

corsa c stub axle and disc set up bolt straight to a corsa b , use corsa c handbrake cable and there you go, instant rear disc conversion witthout the old method of welding plates and re drilling hole

so on from the corsa b and nova stub's are interchangable , so i see no prob in a conversion that way , and i might not fit my old converion beam just yet and look for a c setup

Good man thats the answer I was looking for. Only welding you'll have to do is for the handbrake cable guides iirc

Think you can use std guides with it afaik

what about the caliper carrier, isnt the mount for that on the axle itself? so you would have to weld a caliper mount on to the axle?

I didnt have to weld any handbrake cable guides onto my axle when I rear disc'd it (was a Corsa B admittadly!)

It wasn't but close, i ment the post above yours, when john said of swapping rear beams.

I'm sure you should still be welding the plates on like you still have to when using mk4 astra stuff.. As its drums to disc. I think its either spacing or strengh...

well ive got rear discs on the nova the twin pot 35mm ones, i recomend, easy to do part from welding n driling, pedal feel is great, but on cold days they lock up like a **** and under heavy breaking there bit skittish, so im getting some adjustable brake pressure regulators to sort that out, they just look so much better in my opinion

^ lol surely the locking up is really bad. Funny how yours lock up but feel great, where mine feel sh*t and no matter how hard i try they wont lock up...

Benn think its a case of it all bolts off from the "c" full disc stub axle setup and bolts straight onto nova

Iirc the plate were for the fact that the old stuff , the holes didn't line on the stub wasn't it ?

I'll look into it when I find a dead c lol
