You need to take it to a rolling road/tuning place that knows there way around T40s, so they can set it up on their rollers

isnt popping back more timing issue anyway?

Cheers boys I was just wondering if anyone had any pics or diagrams of them to point me in the right direction as I am a car mechanic and engine tuner/reconditioner for over 15 year. But not really to clued up on carbs more injection and turbos

Take it to someone who knows what theyre doing, a pair of webers set up incorrectly will loose you power and your mpg will suffer, also possible engine damage by rich/lean/timing out.

Depending on were you are I'd recommend bogg brothers in east lutton near Scarborough if that isn't too far they set my 48s up were very reasonable on cost and worked wonders

If you say where you are in the country some one may be able to reccomend somewhere that can sort carbs out. Some can be a bit hit and miss...

Mine has just been set up by a company called larton engine developments. For full strip down and rebuild of the carbs and full jetting and balancing on their rolling road it has cost me 200 quid including replacement of any worn parts. I too am a mechanic but like you don't have the knowledge of carbs to do it properly. Worth every penny to know the job has been done properly by people with the correct knowledge.

If you have them on and running on the engine now then id leave them on and have them setup properly.

Totally agree... had mine set up my the man himself, and it's bloody brilliant!

Driving along way depends on what it's worth to you... The engine I have in the car is about as tuned as possible, so it was worth driving to him to have it done!
