View Full Version : Why do people bother with Corsa B servo and pedal?

I've had a few Corsa Bs now and a Tigra too and the brake feel is AWFUL, they all feel spongy and hardly any bite even on standard calipers!

So why do people bother? Nova pedal feel and bite is much better imo.

i think its mainley for track use buddy, the main thing i think of is think of the weight it saves!!

I thought it was to gain a direct pedal to servo, no link bar so less play/travel etc and save weight as you ditch the bar/servo out the bay..

But whats the point saving weight if you have hardly any brakes?

Last track day I did in the Tigra I had to constantly kick the **** out of the pedal to make them work.

Thats more to do with your disks/pads - not the servo!!

Servos are a better design too - but like the others have said its a combination of weight saving and direct pedal/to servo feel (less play)

As above, sponginess is caused by heat build up in the disks, pads and possibly the fluid.

The Corsa MC conversion is well worth doing IMO

why not just adjust the 15mm nut on the back of the brake pedal saves alot of hassle

Im going to convert to a corsa servo at some point, that bar that runs behind the dash is a crap design at best

Same brakes I had on my Nova are now on the tigra and pedal is crap.

Its a huge waste of time imo.

corsa and tigras are crap. the corsa pedal set up on my saloon felt great and saved lots of weight

Suppose every car could be different but the brakes on my corsa feel just fine, compared with the Nova. Only noticeable difference is the weight of the two cars of course.

and the nova being lighter should make them better

I did away with the brake cross-over bar setup by going to left hand drive shell :plol
