Am I correct in thinking for my 1.4 sr engine I will need a manifold with square ports?
If correct are the 1.6 Gsi one and 1.3 sr different as I can hold of either of these but not a 1.4 nv one.
Cheers for any help. :thumb:

Correct.

1.3,1.4sr,1.6 all have different shaped inlet ports.

Although the 1.6 inlet will fit a 1.4sri engine. They both have round ports.

Thank you Adam . So I basically need one specific for a 1.4 sr then.
Cheers.

Yeah.
OR fit a 1.4sri cylinder head and then use a 1.6 T40 inlet.
The head alone will infact give 5-10hp gain over a 1.4sr head

Have a look at bike carbs link (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-R1-carbs-Bogg-brothers-manifold-8v-Vauxhall-/120859228181?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c23c57815)

Is the 1.4 Sri head the same as a 1.6 head from a gte / Gsi ?

Think the 1.4 SRi has larger inlet valves...

Very similar but the chambers are a different design, so the 1.6 head would give a huge compression ratio drop on a 1.4 block.
