Hi chaps was talking to a lad about bolting my roll cage in and seems to think i should use sleeves as the bolt will pull through even with my 3mm spreader plates?

You should have spreader plates on the inside and small ones on the outside the outside ones should be at lease the same size as you cage foot

sleeves wont let you bolt it in tight as you will only tighten onto the sleeve not the body

Sleeves get used on bolt in cages, where the tubes join together. Slips over the tubes and bolts go through sleeve and tube. I think your mate's a bit confused
