Thought so, but would still like to know for my own reference mate
I know it has a early cocast head on it does that limit the type of car it came from at all?
Tell them it came from a nova you broke and therefore must be factory fit lol
Can Vauxhall not trace it?
well its a 50:50 on astra or cavalier, so take a punt on it...

I want it to be a astra but I don't know why lmao
in all probability the engine will have been in an astra at some point..

The guy I brought it from did take it out of a nova so its kinda true lol
it wont be long until novas are being broken for xe's to put into astras, and cavs lol.

I keep looking at cavs thinking of selling the nova by force to the knob head with it for a nice wedge and buying a v6 lol
It's wont be an early engine if it's a C20 XE
early engines were just 20XE
Mine was from a F reg Astra GTE.

I'm sure it had cocast stamped on the head but its been a fair whill since I last see it tbh
lol,
My XE does not have a coscast head ( not all early engines do, even some let's came with coscast heads )
It has metal plug cover, beige injectors, waffle hatch pattern SFI box and square teeth pulleys,
It's defo a 20XE as the engine no is still easily read on it,

Easy to tell, coscast heads don't have the core plug on the side of the head under the dizzy

I think i love you, finally someone who calls them C20XE's and not a ba$tard cnuting, fukking 'redtop'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
