when you change the air box to a cone filter do you need to get it tunned to it or not just bolt cone on and drive ?

no just a oil change and put new ht cap on it and mid and back box exhaust thats it

i done that and i get the eml come on when i pull away but when i let of the the power it goes off :confused:

ok cheers have to have alook tomorrow its mad like when it comes on the power just all goes but when it goes off it got the power so wired lol

Just put the std box back on and get a cotton panel filter if you want a change in performance
check your ignition timing mate ive had the same problem for about a year, changed allsorts trying to sort it, but it was the same. check the ignition timing by bridging all the 3 terminals together on the tps wire (throttle position sensor) to get it to idle lower than normal in oder to time the ignition. Then use a strobe light and line up the timing marks by turning the distributor. this worked for me could hear an instant change on tickover and the eml went out permantley and its restored lost power.
