nova saloon rebuild

Hi there i thought id start a thread on my little nova aka (Dorris) shes a k reg 1.2 merit 4 door saloon that im slowly sorting out over the next few months as time and cash allows http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

The novas had a new sterring rack fitted
passenger door replaced, After sum scumbag bent the old one/
Astra mk4 Sri front seats fitted.
ebc discs green pads, braided flexi hoses.
brand new headlights and new back box with poly hanger rubbers,
New head gasket old one was well shot,
core plugs replaced.
bumpers sprayed black only a tempary thing as im thinking a bout a mk1 front end.
Got a roof rack ready to fit to fill with old cases and a few retro things,
Brown mk1 dash to be fitted, and matching center console, cream door handles and ashtrays, plus brown carpet.
Manged to get a new old stock gsi front screen for a 10.00 as i killed the old one i kinda got spark bits in it when i fitted new front seats OPPS lession learned always cover up glass when grinding or welding, current plans are:
mk1 front end mk1 bk bumper
mk1 dash
retrim brown and cream
ronal turbo alloys
and mint and smooth engine bay and tune up the 1.2 8v (NOT changing engine due to petrol costs these days) plus i quiet like the wee 8v simple and cheap to fix.

Bumper painted gloss black, screen in, Also shiny new headlamps and indicators
Areo wipers
Astra mk4 front seats bolted in. WHAT a PAIN :tard:

Ive got off ebay a mk2 cav 1.6 cam and distrubotor looking at fitting that and putting a astra 1.4 inlet and injector on the 1.2 and maybee a turbo from a 1.3 cdti corsa c if i can work out how i could fit one and get the compression low enougth to run :) also got gmax suspension on order to replace old tired suspension. I need to work out how to wire in my mk1 dash to mk2 wiring.....

all the plans sound pretty good so far :thumb:
1 small tip, breath while typing, use full stops. Its easier for us lot to read it then.

typing not my best subject, I had a play with the nova yesterday and had a go with arc welder on the boot still needs a bit more welding but one side welded up just needs grinding back :)

nova has taken a back seat for a while due to moving house 2 times in last few months bloody nightmare.

ive removed the 1.2 and going to be replacing the front panel.
Also got some TWIN 40S off ebay just need to get an engine worthy of fitting them to, and get the inner arch panel repaired really rusty :(

twin 40's didnt you say you wanted to keep it as a standard 1.2 for fuel costs ? lol

Very true but i was going througth an old pile of total vauxhall mags and found an article on a nova sport, so i youtubed nova sport and i LOVED the noise of the carbs so i thougtht why not get some they were very cheap and only 5 mins away.
Also my brother is building a mk2 golf with a vr6 carnt let him make all the noise plus id quite like the nova the be able to beat the golf so im thinking a 1.6 8v engine with the carbs and get a cam and strip the loon of un needed weight :P

does anybody know where i can get the back panel from?
i need:
Sills
backpanel
frontpanel
rear quaters, lower parts rusted throught common problem im told on saloons. I dont think i can buy this panel but surley this is why saloons always die :(
