What would happen if i got a turbo conversion on a 1.4 SRi Nova? Would it be mint and rapid? Or would the engine not last 2 seconds? How much more power would i gain? Cheers

the life of a terbo conversion would depend on verious amounts of things, i think theres a post from a while back about turbo's not allot of people opt for them, i would go from twin 40's myself, much power gain and at a lowwer price.

Just depends if ya want it purley for the dump valve as most people do :?

I would not bother with it, you will have problems with it and it would cost a fair wedge of cash. Rick

Courtenay supply and fit a turbo kit on both the sri and gte/gsi for ?3000. On their website they quote 115bhp for the 1.4 8v and 150bhp for the 1.6 8v. Personally I would follow the example of the yanks when they turbo na cars. Use a large front mounted intercooler, uprate the fuel pump, get some massive flowing injectors and control the fuelling using a standalone ecu. They usually keep the standard compression too. Go to the turbo feature car section and check the spec of Dav's 1.6 turbo. He runs 12 psi on stock compression.

where as for about ?1500 you can get a 1.6 8V to near enough 150bhp (with a useful torque and power curve) with NA
