fire!!!!!

well car passed its test yesterday i taxed it this morning and was going out in it. id just strapped my 4 year old daughter in. i hadnt got far from my house and the car burst into flames luckily a passer by stopped and put fire out before it got extremly bad :mad::cry:

I had an engine bay fire on my 1litre back in the day. Was dizzy induced.

Your lucky that could have been so much worse, the dizzy looks fine, but is that the fuel line that looks to be pointing upwards ?

I remmember one year at billing talking to cormac and commenting on a hissing souns thought it might have been a punchare, but thwe fuel line has started to split and was leaking ! and only by commenting on the sound stopped the car going up in flames could it have been that ?

I had the fuel pipe on my Mini 1380 split when the engine rock squashed the pipe against the bulkhead. The car cut out and stunk of fuel, found it was piissing out all over the exhaust manifold!!!!! Luckily it never went up, bloody close though!

nor wasnt caused by fan i think fuel pipe had leaked over ht leads etc and timing maybe:confused: its getting fixed its not to bad fan, wiring, bonnet needs painting etc

Ah its all good, just thought i had miss read her post, iam taking a lot of pain meds for my back so anything is possible lol
