NOVA BUF

I originally bought a 1.0 mk2 nova as a first car but the 1.0 engine was seizedso it came out and was scrapped along with the gearbox as it was 4speed.
I had a C12NZ engine and gearbox out of my friend’s mk2 nova in my garage sothought i would just fit that for convenience and to keep it cheap. I fittedthis engine and then realised that it was Single Point Injection and obviouslyi didn’t have the wires because i still have the 1.0 wiring loom in the nova.
To get around this problem I waited for my brother’s nova to run out ofinsurance as it was a 12NV and it was going to be scrapped once the insurancehad run out as it was rotting EVERYWHERE. So before scrapping it we removed theengine and gearbox.
Then off of this engine i took the inlet manifold and carb to then replace theinlet manifold and throttle body of the C12NZ. This worked to an extent becausei could now use the choke cable on the 1.0nova and connect it up correctly tothe 12NV carb. BUT the C12NZ engine runs off a fuel pump in the tank and my new12NV carb setup needed a manual fuel pump running off the camshaft. So ireplaced the C12NZ top half of the head with the 12NV top half of the head. Sothe part of the head holding all the valves and valve springs, etc is still aC12NZ
I have also changed the fuel tank and run another fuel line to supply the12NV carb and manual fuel pump setup.
After doing this i still had a few wires loose in the engine bay that I’mclueless about but there is now a full engine setup in the car which shouldturn over because i thought i had wired the starter motor up and when i turnedthe key it DID turn over nicely a good few times for maybe 5 or 6 seconds butknowing there was no fuel actually in the tank i didn’t expect it to start sokilled the key. I then wanted to check for a spark as I’m unsure about the way I’vewired the ignition coil up but when i turned the key it didn’t turn over it jusstarted to go CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK so i killed the key again and went to tryagain but NOTHING happened.
I then looked at the starter motor wiring and could see a thin black wire hangingso thought that maybe this thin black wire had been touching something to causeit to earth when it had actually turned over the first time so i connected itto a stud on the starter but nothing happened so I earthed it to the body ofthe starter motor and still nothing happened so i earthed it to the body of thecar and still nothing happened.
I then thought that maybe this thin black wire was actually the ignition liveand had been touching a terminal on the starter so i tried touching the biglive and the other terminal but still nothing happened.
I have tried swapping a couple wires over and things but it still refuses to doANYTHING. I have even had the starter motor out and on the bench spinning absolutelyfine.
To put all this simple my 1.0 loom has 3 wires for the starter motor
thin black one
black and red one
big white one that goes from battery + to starter via the alternator
but my C12NZ starter motor has 2 studs
How do I wire it up???
