Hey all,

Me and a few lads are going to be setting up a road safety campaign, some with modified cars some without.......due to the increase in fatal RTA's 1 being a well known lad in our area,we think it's time to get the message across to promote some safety.....

there are some mixed views on this, but we are a good bunch as stated some with modified cars some just car enthusiasts in general......

Would like to ask people to if they have any input on promoting safety?

I have contacted a detailing product supplier(cleanyourcar) who is more than happy to supply free of charge, rain repellant,im a firm believer if the glass is contaminant free and with a repellant applied it makes for safer driving,we are looking to involve a few companies as many car related as possible,my brain has gone into overdrive though.... http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/laughing.gif

Could anybody think how to get maybe a car manufacturer involved in such a project?

Thank you in advance for any input you may havehttp://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/thumb.gif

What is the campaign trying to achieve? (as in dropped speed limits/harsher enforcement of said limits, clean windows etc...)

Trying to aim at potential drivers 16 year olds, also young drivers,to reduce speed, there are plenty legal track days they can take there adrenaline filled minds to and play in their cars legally, there have been 4 serious RTA's in 5weeks in this area, and it is densely populated,15k max, over the passed 3 years the figures are insane,so we would like to get a firm message across!

Apart from banning people from having more than 25hp & fitting externally(to control speed limited zones) controllable speed limiters to cars, you will never ever stop fatal accidents....

Unfortunately, driving fast is fun..

And innapropriate speed is what kills..

It is no consolation to know that the roads have never been safer.

I wish you well with your campaign
