I had it running briefly but had to have the throttle all the way down but still slowly cut out
Its a 1.2 spi
Has fresh fuel getting to the injector
And has a spark
Any help would be gratfull

Ooops, should have checked it before winter!
When water freezes, it expands. Find out what it has damaged under expansion.
head gasket will be gone at least, when mine froze it literally split the block in half as well as the inlet manifold and split the thermostat housing. basically it will probably be ****ed

if you cant see any damage, might be worth checking the timing hasnt jumped. if the water pump was frozen up, when you turned the key it could have caused the timing to be thrown out. got an MG TF in at work atm which has done exactly that

yes, i do understand that water expands when it freezes :tard: yeah checked the block, hasn't cracked or anything cheers anyway, will check the timing belt tomorrow in the light
Thanks for the help :)
My SPi did that last year despite having coolant in. Once it had thoroughly defrosted (I lleft it a few days as the block would take longer to defrost gently).
Then it would n't run proper, I cleaned the distributpr/rotor etc and it went fine again, oil and water never mixed so i was very very lucky.
when i say the block had cracked i mean internally

i dont quite understand how you can say yours hasnt done this without taking the head off. mine actually still ran despite this as well
this is where the inlet had cracked, worth checking
