you want the foam double sided tape roll, just make sure the paint is clean and free from polish, or any oily stuff, then you should have no worrys..

I tried that on my last one they just kept coming off

clean all the old tape of the back of the strips and clean the backs with thinners, leave to dry, and they will stick, the only way they dont is if the surface has an oil or polish on them

Go for the 3m bodyshop tape aswell

araldite. be patient when putting it on. If you make a mistake, it will come off but again you have to be very patient. Just a thin line around the outside will do but, you have to hold it all on firmly for a good 10 minutes in warm weather.
