i want to remove the oil cooler on my c20xe, can i just remove the 2 banjo bolts and fit 2 blanks or do i have to use the 2l 8v adapter?

Use the adapter to remove the sandwich plate all together. I would have thought blanking them would mess with the oil flow when the stat opens?

you can just use a the fitting from any 8v 16v (vauxhall) without sandwich plate

Is there any advantage to not having an oil cooler?

If it doesn't overheat without one; easier fitment, neater installation, less pipework and less to go wrong.

sorry to bump an old thread but does it have to be from a big block engine or can you use a small block item?
