well the let fired up today, No exhaust on the car and i forgot to leave the header tank cap off and poped the header tank :( oops

Tank cap should release pressure anyway, so I'd get a new cap if you can, or clean it out if it's full of cack. Nice to see it back in one bit finally though lol

I believe it's just been rebuilt so a decent chance the lifters have been emptied.

Even if they've not been emptied it's been sat for over a year I believe so they have probably drained out a little

After a good run today with a patched up header tank, runs up nicely the tapping noise has gone from cold :) just trying to see what mess the pervious owner has done, got the engine management light wired in and pleased to say it stays off even with some copy phase one chips :)
