well i should have started a project thread but i kind of forgot and just got on with it,
well it started like this basically scrap:cry: paid £600 for it

yes pie good spot there rs1600i style with 'TRANSIT' added instead also has the rs16i style side stripes too cut in retro reflective class 3 vinyl used on motorway signs lol, they were a freebie from the guy at work who makes our signs lol

i hope i can get some use from it, ive had a mk5 astra on already its only been taxed a day lol mk3 escort ghia to collect tomorrow and some racking to move

yes i know stu,when it had mot and knowing it needed so much work i wanted to run the tax off it before i ripped it to bits
looks a lot better now stu what you think?

My uncle is messing around with a similar transit to this at the minute, i told him get the turbo diesel engine and make it into a Transit RS Turbo lol with the stickers and everything...

i love these trucks apart from the rot but other than that there brill, youve just got to watch the weight on them as there a tad heavy.

smiley = 100% pikey

iits like converting a mk1 nova to a mk2 it shouldnt be done,there arent many mk3 transits left on the road now

yes si admit rich the power steering box was a damn good find for £30 to say ive watchedd the boxes alone make £300 on evilbay

cheers andy, its had some use already and proving reliable minus an hiccup with the winch cable snagging now sorted

Cables scare me,make sure you have a cut off! them bastads carry on pulling if theyre feeling that way out!

i just aquired a proper red cut off switch, foc so will fit this into the main feed wire and it has remote winch so im pretty sure it will definately need it in

I had a remote on mine also but they can and DO fail,whatever the age of them.Happened on my smiley,fukking cable were like a guitar string lol

Also,theres nothing that got me angrier when the cable started to fray and i touched it with no gloves on.That feels epic in this kind of cold we have had,make sure you try it at least once lol lol

It's also worth having an isolator for the winch inside the cab, as there are cnuts out there who'll spool the cable out, over the cab roof and onto the front crossmember, then bridge the terminals on the solenoid box and... well, you can imagine the result :eek: Was a fairly common occurence when I was on the Land Rover forums.

its solid now,not pretty in some but solid,
they cant get near it as its fitted with a perimeter arming as its fitted with a clifford arrow 3 alarm
if you put 1 foot on the bed it starts chirping or look through the window it chirps aswell to warn people off,
the alarm i got give from a friend so threw it in why not!

how does the perimeter thingy work btw? always wondered that
