What grade of oil 1.3sr

What grade of oil should be used in a 1.3sr engine? I have purchased 15w-40 from my local motor factors as they said this was the right grade. I just want to check before I change it.Cheerz.:thumb:

IIRC anyhting from 10w40 - 20w50 is usable (including 15w40). It depends on how many miles the engine has done and how healthy it is. We currently use 15w40 in our SR.

If you know anyone in the trade get them to get you some semi-synthetic from Vauxhall, it is the best for the price.

i use quantum semi synthetic 10w40 out of the barrel at work and my sr runs fine
and to me it works out £1.50 a litre (cheaper than waterlol)
