fan wiring

well my fan does work as ive connected to the battery and it comes on

when i connect it up normaly and earth the 2 wires that go into the fan switch on the radiator nothing happens

i connected up the multimeter and the black wire that goes into the actual fan is getting 1.8v ands when i earth them it goes to 2v?

that cant be right

any ideas guys?

From the factory the fan switch is wired in between the fan & earth. So i'd have to say your fan earth is shot too.

ill try earthing the fan with the original earth then connect it to the battery if it dosnt work you will be right
