do you mean the blower bit?

try turning it by hand and then powering it up(after you've got your hand out the way)

is the switch tatered? cos a fan doesn't usually fail on all 3 speeds

How would I test the switch?

Is there any fuses in engine bay or other place on car?

there shouldn't be, but there is the speed control resistor on the fan motor that can fail too

Do you have a idea how to see if this has failed?

I've never experienced a motor actually fail. Normally it's switch, fuse, resistor etc that does.

Can you just replace the resistor? Were abouts is it and is it easy to change? Also how do I check that it is goosed?

It will actually be on/by the motor itself. Can't see any reason why they can't be changed but you'd probably need to buy a second hand one and tbh it may just be easier fitting a different motor on anyway. Unless you can find the correct resistor on it's own.

Unplug the motor or the switch and see if your getting power

re the resistor, they used to sell a replacement resistor for the mk2/3 astra, and it worked the same on the nova...

I have unpluged the plug at the back of the switch and there is 11.36V going to the brown/white wire, I disconnected the plug on the motor and there is no readings with ignition on or off.
