227.5bhp, and 243FTLB run aborted, ran lean after 5700rpm, it is on std intectors and fuel pressure mind,
not bad for 150bhp std lol

am i bean thick here but is it rwd only asking as of the way the engine sits
the passat is actually more audi than vw, the audis have long had an in line engine with a fwd box...
its one of the reasons the group b quattros were so difficult to drive, all that 5 cyl weight out the front
and amazingly enough, the audi gearbox was stuck in the back of the porsche 924/944/968 as a rwd box.

my 1200 nova was doing 10-mpg at one stage, was wondering why my feet were getting wet when filling it up, bloody fuel leaks lol

surprised?
Even super-cars can so 3-4mpg when nailed hard
20litres in 7miles.
You have a petrol leak mate.
That would an average too remember, so at some points he must have been doing <0.5mpg!!

Not really. It goes from one extreme to the other, sure his Peugeot diesel was doing 90mpg at one point as well.
