nova 1.6 8v head

HI can any one help me with how much you can you can skim a 1.6 8v head to make it more powerful and also need skimming as is very worped many thanks

the most you can skim down depends on the maximum thickness of the head gasket. if you look at your old gasket it has cuts on it 1 cut or no cut is the factory gasket, 2 cut is after a 1st skim and 3rd cut is the max and bin the head. problem you have with a heavy skim is getting the valves to seat. if you know its warped then id start with a fresh head and get it taken down to the max of the 3rd cut head gasket and fit a 2 cut competition gasket :)

problem i got is its ben ported when u say about the cuts what do u mean al new to me not understand right i dont think thanks

just give it a light skim, your hardly going to gain anything by skimming it too its limit anyway

std is 96mm measure it and see how much it has had off it.

On the short oval 1300s its not unknown for 2mm to be taken off.
