'SnapOff' ones that bolt between the wheel and boss have no play whatsoever.

Are they still around. I thought they had been discontinued a long time ago?

I'm after one of some description too. Was looking for a weld on, but heard a lot have play. Been looking at these too http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200707176849?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Hmm what to do...
^^^ i had tha one in my watch list lol
also been told k-tec do a tidy one
Yeah it does look good. lol Think I seen the K-TEC name, Lifeline and JJC (or similar) look good too.
The one Iain linked is on eBay atm, dunno if you have seen it? £35 posted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SNAP-OFF-QUICK-RELEASE-STEERING-WHEEL-BOSS-KIT-HUB-FITS-OMP-SPARCO-MOMO-BOSS-KIT-/200699079840?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2eba98eca0
There's loads of pro ones on the bay. Time for a bit more hunting. Ironically, my concern is that with a dished wheel, deep boss (converter), then a snap off, it will bring the wheel TOO close. If there is such a thing. lol
ya just seen tha one for 35quid now :)
and ya that's the other thing moves it closer to you etc lol
it would be ok it i could find a stubby boss
Or cut and reweld to shorten an aftermarket boss. I can't reach the stalks when holding the wheel in my Nova with that snap-off fitted, but oh well.
£35 isn't a bad price for them, think I got mine when Halfords were getting rid of old stock for less than £20 I think! Barg.
Mine...Built in boss and quick release in 1 unit.

That looks decent Mark, where from/how much/any play?
Ebay/Quite a bit (£85 I think, but saves you having to buy the boss and quick release separate)/no play at all.
£85 isn't bad it it is play free and as you say, no need to buy a boss. Time to search that name.
Cheers mate, + rep.
It is also slightly more compact than the normal 2 piece kit
