recently purchased a pedal box from Compbrake, and from what i can gather it mounts to bulkhead using the old alloy servo mount, but ive seen some that just bolt striaght to the bulk head directly, has anyone modified theres to do this as im wanting to make as much room in the bay as possible, without using a corsa b set up.

I have one for sale on EBAY which bolts straight to the bulkhead.

There's photos on there which may help you. I'm not familiar with the Compbrake one, but maybe you could post up some photos so we can see how it goes together?

Think that'd be it..?

What happens to the servo vacuum unit with all these pedal boxes..?
Im totally unknowlegable when it comes to brakes stuff, at the moment..

cool, thanks for that - i didnt realise it does away with it completely. Does it mean you can blank off/remove the old vac. take-offs from inlet manifold?
What about if you still only use front disc, standard drum at rear? No point then i suppose.
Im only asking as i think my servo/vac system and m/s is corroding, in need of reconditioning..

You can see in the photo I blanked of the servo pipe by folding and melting the end, you can run a pedal box for whatever reason you want. Even if you kept the rear drums but fitted 4 pots upfront or even if you just fitted 256's and don't like a soggy pedal feel, the plumbing in is different as I only used 1 line to the rear then a T to split to each side,

Bolts straight to bulkhead like so & connects to standard set up behind the dash.

You may need to modify the brake pedal unless you got let muscles like an olympic athelete!! :)

Had two now, one from Rally Design & one from Harry Hockly (the one on now) & difference in quality is unbelieveable.
Rally design wanted you to start cutting master cylinder pistons down to make it fit right & stop brakes binding. Hockly one fits & works out of the box.
Pay the extra & get a well made one.

thats one sexy bay that it, i think mine may be of lesser quality than the hh one you have fitted. Hence the butchering it will need to be fitted properly. i take it the .7 cylinder is for the rear and .625 for the front?

Pretty sure you are correct there :)

i do like that martin, didnt want another mini project within the main one. I like the sound of it bolting up to the standard setup.
Wonder if the compbrake one is more like the rally design one or hockley one..

If it's like other Compbrake stuff it will probably be lower standard than the Rally Design one......
